Healthcare Foundation presents a total of $33,000 to three St. Louis organizations
Signature Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce the presentation of $11,000 to the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, $11,000 to Nurses for Newborns and $11,000 to the Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital. The $33,000 in donations is the largest made to date by the Foundation.
According to Herman Noah, member of the Signature Healthcare Foundation Board, "The Foundation is pleased to be able to support the efforts of these three St. Louis area not-for-profits that interact with physicians in providing services to patients and their families. We have been fortunate to have raised these funds through the recent Foundation golf tournament. It gives us great pleasure to support these fine organizations."
Healthcare Foundation was formed in 2002 by Signature Health Services Inc. with a vision to "be a recognized leader in the local and national health care dialogue and spearhead physician leadership in improvements and efficiencies in the health care delivery system." The mission of the Foundation is to "utilize physician leadership to improve the quality, efficiency and affordability of health care in the St. Louis area and nationally."
The Brain Injury Association of Missouri provides support, education, recreation, referral services and advocacy for persons with brain injury and their families as well as professionals and the community.
Nurses for Newborns provides a safety net for families most at-risk in order to prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect by providing in-home nursing visits which promote healthcare, education, and positive parenting skills.
Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital provides rehabilitation and subacute medical treatment for seriously ill and injured children regardless of the family's ability to pay. For children with complex medical issues, such as brain injuries and complications due to premature birth, Ranken Jordan helps bridge the gap between traditional hospital.
